On the plants owned by the I.S.A.M. operates the only Centre in Italy homologated
to carry out crash tests onto road barriers; The Centre is managed by the A.I.SI.CO.,
which takes care of the tests’ execution. The main instrumentations are two 10.000
cc diesel engines used to drag vehicles by means of a sophisticated computerized
hydraulic system.

The vehicles that must undergo the test can reach the wanted speed according to
the kind of test observing the impact angle required by the regulations in force.
Cutting-edge facilities enable to follow and record the whole test from the start
until the complete stop of the vehicle after the impact.
